Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) sheet is a premium engineering thermoplastic acclaimed for its exceptional durability and versatility. Its most notable property is an abrasion resistance that exceeds carbon steel, making it ideal for high-wear applications like liners, chutes, and conveyors. It offers outstanding impact strength, even in sub-zero conditions, and a very low coefficient of friction for self-lubricating and non-stick performance.
The material is highly resistant to chemicals and moisture absorption (<0.01%), ensuring dimensional stability. It provides good UV resistance for outdoor use and functions as an effective electrical insulator. While its maximum continuous service temperature is approximately 180°F (82°C), it remains easily machinable with standard tools. This unique combination of properties makes UHMWPE sheet a superior choice for demanding applications across mining, food processing, and material handling industries.

We provide CNC machining services for UHMWPE sheet or bar. We can provide precision dimensions according to requests or custom shapes, industrial mechanical parts, and mechanical transmission equipment such as rails, chutes, gears, etc.
The ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene sheet produced by compression molding has excellent wear resistance and impact resistance. However, this production technique may result in a surface that is not completely flat. We offer surface milling for applications where a flat surface is required, ensuring a uniform thickness across the UHMWPE sheet.

The following applications demonstrate how UHMWPE sheets are used in practical scenarios by industrial customers:
In indoor ice sports venues (skating, ice hockey, curling), UHMWPE sheets are widely deployed. Thanks to their low-temperature resistance, wear resistance, and toughness, they function normally in ultra-low temperature environments without showing common signs of plastic aging, such as embrittlement.
The buffer pads or bearing pads for outriggers of construction machinery require high strength and toughness. This helps minimize deformation of the pad under load, providing stable support for heavy equipment. UHMWPE is an ideal material for outrigger pads. Similarly, we offer road plates with non-slip, wear-resistant surfaces that can withstand heavy-duty truck traffic.
Food contact standards specify that materials must be non-toxic, water-resistant, and non-adhesive. UHMWPE complies with direct food contact requirements. It absorbs no water, prevents cracking, resists deformation, and does not mold, making it suitable for beverage and food conveyor line accessories. Furthermore, it offers cushioning, noise reduction, lower maintenance costs, and reduced power loss. It is also used to manufacture components for meat processing, snack, dairy, confectionery, and bakery machinery.
The high wear resistance of UHMWPE makes it a preferred choice for machinery parts, particularly chain guides. It is widely used in machinery manufacturing for gears, cams, impellers, rollers, pulleys, bearings, bushings, cut shafts, gaskets, elastic couplings, and screws.
UHMWPE sheets with a molecular weight of 3 million offer high wear resistance, a low friction coefficient, weather resistance, and low maintenance overhead. These characteristics make it a standard choice for port terminal fenders. UHMWPE fenders can be easily mounted to steel, concrete, wood, and rubber structures.
The combination of wear resistance, impact resistance, and self-lubrication makes UHMWPE sheets suitable for lining hoppers, silos, and chutes handling coal, cement, lime, minerals, salt, and grain powders. It helps prevent material adhesion and promotes smooth material flow.
By leveraging the self-lubricating, non-water-absorbing, and corrosion-resistant properties of UHMWPE, it can be modified into specialized plates and parts suitable for nuclear installations, submarines, and power plants. These specifications often cannot be met by metallic materials.
